![]() Quite an achievement for Square Enix! … Full Review » There's literally nothing good in this game at all. As for the game world itself, it's just lazily designed and rather dull looking, there's just nothing very inventive about the world design.oh and the npcs are all brain dead. Then you have numbers spilling out all over the place during combat which looks awful, then there's the graphics which seem to switch between reasonable looking to low rez 720p and lower. The combat and traversal just feel too floaty, the "enemies" (a lot of which are just animals in the game world) are the most generic dull creations you can imagine. Not even the gameplay or game world are well done. Apparently there is a narrative but good luck figuring out what it is, as the writing is terrible. Whoa! This game really is BAD! Somehow the writers (if there actually were any?!) have managed to create possibly the most irritating and unlikeable character in the history of gaming who is incapable of uttering a single sentence without swearing constantly, she's bitter, mean and just horrible in every way. Yet, the game has a certain charm that I believe makes it worth giving a try to anyone. In the end, I recommend Forspoken to anyone who loves Final Fantasy XV or Ubisoft-style open worlds and especially anyone who has a thing for character mobility. ![]() I am not sure how many steps forward versus how many steps back Forspoken takes, but there are steps taken forward. There is a lot of diversity in the cast too, in a way we don’t usually get from big-budget RPGs. And I also can’t deny there are some eyebrow-raising moments as to how the writers chose to portray a black woman like Frey, despite personally liking her quite a bit when viewed through the lens of having finished the game. But at the same time I can’t help but be disappointed with how safe Forspoken plays the open world, and I am unlikely to go back to clear out all of those rote points of interest. There is a lot of fun to be had exploring Athia and the main quest keeps things interesting even when you get bored with the open-world checklist. Most gamers do not play on the recommended settings as it is and with some of these requirements being out of the ballpark for some gamers, it wouldn’t come as a surprise if most gamers don’t even reach the recommended requirements for Forspoken.Forspoken is a far better and more compelling game than I had feared, but it also doesn’t reach the heights I dreamt of. Only a select few gamers may get to use the Ultra System Requirements, but that is no big deal. This would ask that you have a minimum of 32GB of Ram, a Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 16GB, and NVMe SSD of 150GB or more. If you really want to get the most graphically out of Forspoken, you can always aim for the Ultra System Requirements. A little bit more reasonable, but not everyone even has a PC that has those features. If you take a look at some of the minimum requirements to play Forspoken you will notice that you will need at least 16GB of Ram and a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB. That right there are some beefy requirements just to reach some of the recommended settings.
